Description
This is a comparison I put together, of this winter's polar vortex extent down into the North American continent, and the southernmost extent of glaciation during the last Ice Age.
This has happened before.
This has happened before.
This has happened SO MANY TIMES, that we ended up buried beneath a mile of ice for tens of thousands of years.
*edit* thought it was time to bring this up again.

I went to read up in the IPCC climate report, what they had to say about 'man-made' global warmings' effect upon the polar vortex. This is what they said**:

Yep. THAT, is how much human-generated CO2 has affected the polar vortex. Or at least, how much they've actually even considered the possibility as they continue to shriek about how we're cooking the world- which a severely cold winter / polar vortex, would NOT figure into.
We're heading into the next cycle of cooling, people. And it isn't going to be a nice one.

** - I did find the polar vortex mentioned in one paper which the IPCC cited. It didn't say much. It certainly didn't say much about extreme cold. Come to think of it, it didn't say ANYTHING about extreme cold....
*edit* UPDATE: I DID finally find a reference to the polar vortex:
in a zonal mean sense, large-scale atmospheric circulation features have moved 42
poleward: since the 1970s the tropical belt has widened, storm tracks and jet streams have shifted 43
poleward, and the polar vortex has contracted. {2.7}.

IT IS THE ONLY REFERENCE TO THE POLAR VORTEX.
IT SAYS THE POLAR VORTEX HAS ***CONTRACTED**** SINCE THE 1970S.
THIS WAS NOT SOMETHING THEY EXPECTED OR MODELLED FOR. 'MAN-MADE' GLOBAL WARMING HAS ZERO TO DO WITH IT!
