So I'm doing chores in the shed / barn, and I'm walking just off the back corner of the house, when I catch motion at my feet. And what do I find but this little guy, laying on top of the grass blades.

We're talking a Long way from any place that a turtle might have laid eggs. The only thing I can think of it that he was picked up by a bird, who then dropped him / couldn't keep hold of him.

We're pretty sure he's a painted turtle. Hopefully we shall see him again, as I released him on the edge of our pond.

Yeah, I knew someone who Found a Snapping Turtle that was this Small... if you stuck your Finger at it, it would try to Tear Your Arm right off. They are Hatched Mean!
