...had to have somewhere to keep these guys while cleaning their pen. I'd love to take it one step farther- we have twice as many right now (we sell to a pet shop), but we keep the males and females seperate.
Russian Dwarf Hamsters. A really Big one would fit across your palm, about 2/3 the size of a regular ham.
