At least part of the reason people in America tend to buy the Global Warming BS is because really has been unusually warm in the US over the past several years. Mostly, this has to do with a shift in the Jet Stream, which causes the colder arctic air to dip down into the U.S less frequently. And mokst people aren't smart enough to realize that it's GLOBAL warming... not just warming in one part of the world.
